Today ends my house sitting gig for sis. I'm truly going to miss the peace and quiet of East Nashville. I'll go back to my apartment with the paper thin walls, the screaming children, and the neighbors playing gangsta rap and mariachi music for all to "enjoy".

I think, at my age, the thing I value most is peace and quiet.

The weekend was pretty miserable.
Friday night went fine enough. Went and shot some video for a local wrestling promotion. Discovered a cute, curvy girl wrestler from Cincinnati who goes by the ring name "Big Mama Nemesis". She is cute with a lot of personality, and pulled of her heel personae quite well.

Bought my buddy a small flat panel monitor because the 8"x8", ancient CRT monitor he was using bugged me.
Picked up the core rule book for the Rogue Trader RPG . I seriously want to get a campaign off the ground.
Got my taxes done.

Day one of my weekend.
Been looking through Career Builder job listings as well as Craigslist ads. Plenty of tech support\call center stuff. It's mostly staffing agencies. You know I'd love a gig where I was actually working in a storefront repairing stuff. My dream job is to be Christina Hendricks' IT guy.

Rain.

Real rain for the past two days. And with it, cooler weather. It feels like fall out there. I've been housesitting for geodesimagining for the past week. I stood outside, closed my eyes, and let the cool air and rain wash o'er me. So incredibly elemental. I need to do that more. I forget what the living world can feel like. And that's truly fucked.

Was a rousing success. Last night's mad scramble for documentation for my various background checks bore fruit. Score one for Mom, she found my GED certificate.

Today, the Danemobile should be fixed. I'll be a happier Viking to be sure.

Went through my Friends list this evening and did a small purge. Mainly communities and folks that have moved on.  Sometimes you just need to let stuff go. I have to admit, I'm a bit of an internet hoarder. I tend to hang on to old email accounts, web-apps, blogs, etc because they were there at some big point in my life.
